To ensure that you’re all on track, herewith key information on SA ePublications:

Latest Enhancements (28 February 2017)

1. Heightened functionality for your subscribed titles

Users now have the option to search on subscribed titles only (available on the homepage of

Via the right-hand side of the home page a Your subscribed titles link has been added where users can view a list of their institution's subscribed titles.

The user is also able to filter search results by ticking the Subscribed titles tick box on the Advanced Search page.

2. Library Administrator’s User Guide
A Library Administrator's User Guide has been made available under the Librarian Resources tab. Please make use of the guide to assist with the administrator functionality on the journal platform.

3. Journal linking information
We would like to remind you of the Journal linking information (Excel file) document which has been made available under the Librarian Resources tab. Use this document to ensure that all journal links are updated and pointing to the new journal platform. An A-Z list of all journal titles as well as the links to the different Collections are included.

Important Notice (24 January 2017)

Please remember to set up your alerts on the new platform, The alerts from the old Reference Platform have not been carried over automatically.

Herewith a summary of important information when accessing your subscribed titles:

  • Ensure that all your Intranet links or other work area links have been changed to point to This is the best option to ensure that you have seamless access to the new platform. Detailed information on old and new links is available on
  • The redirecting of all existing links has been implemented and will redirect to
  • Test both on campus as well as off campus access should you be working via EZproxy or WAM.
  • Clear the cache on your EZproxy server as well as on browser level. Detailed guidelines on how to clear your cache on your browser is available on
  • Remember to add the stanza for the new journal platform to your EZproxy config file. Both stanzas below should be included - do not delete the current/existing stanza:
