Celebrating #MandelaDay - Making a Difference![]() "The depth about the underpinnings of our culture, and our concern for the future can all be tested by how well we support our libraries."In the pursuit of building a generation of readers, Sabinet, in collaboration with the Tshwane Library Services, visited the Dimphonyana Tsa Lapeng Nursery & Pre-school in Olievenhoutbosch. A first for the safe haven - these future leaders were thrilled and excited to enter the world of books as volunteers fostered the joys of reading and revealing the literacy palace - a portable library. A day where the volunteers awakened their inner child with laughter, song, animation and just wholesome fun while reading to our future leaders. We believe that it is important to encourage reading amongst children at an early age. Reading is a starting step of many things, which is seen to build solid stairs for our generation to climb up and achieve greatness. |

Optimize management, access and visibility of your e-resources Library users today expect full access to a wide range of electronic resources from both inside and outside the library. As your library increases its budget for e-resources, you don't have time to manage them in spread sheets or to duplicate work in multiple library systems. You need a simple way to integrate e-resources into your workflows through one end-to-end system.

OCLC Member Story: University of KwaZulu-NatalIn order to meet the vision of the University of KwaZulu-Natal to be the premier university of African scholarship, the library staff decided they needed a new library management system. "The cost of maintaining our previous library system was becoming unsustainable," said Joyce Myeza, Library Director at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. "This, combined with a desire to provide consolidated access to all of our resources and make better use of our materials budget, played a key role in our decision to implement WMS," or WorldShare ® Management Services.
