Celebrating Labour Month through Information and Education

The ever-changing labour landscape makes it a must for companies and individuals alike to keep up with the law.

Sabinet Labour is a one-stop resource covering any of your legal information needs regarding labour - straight from the Courts to your inbox.

Additionally, subscribers receive weekly updates on current developments in the industry.

    Legal Products: Raising the Bar

Sabinet prides itself in building an inclusive environment where every user knows their experience and expectations are valued and respected.

The uniqueness lies in our point in time system, where you are able to find not only the latest consolidated legislation but also all versions of that piece of legislation as they were at a particular point in time.

The new feature on Provincial NetLaw and Bargaining Council Agreements allow you to limit search results to suit your specific needs. The default setting, when performing a search, will now only display the latest version of an agreement or piece of legislation and NOT all other versions.

The latest enhancement allows for more customised search functionality which will enhance your experience while using our products.

Worldshare Management Services® - Recognise Real Results

The generation and application of knowledge resides at the core of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and our role in enhancing the facilitation of access to information will undeniably contribute to creating a better future.

As leaders in the information industry, we are pleased to announce that CSIR is the fourth institution to go live with OCLC’s WorldShare Management Services (WMS), an integrated suite of cloud-based library management applications.

WMS offer libraries cost savings, workflow efficiencies and the ability to deliver new value to users. Libraries can now share data and work across many member libraries. Congratulations to our WMS Team on the successful implementation of WMS at CSIR.

Scheduled Technology Upgrades to Impact OCLC WorldCat and WorldShare Services in EMEA in June

OCLC is undertaking a significant investment in their technological infrastructure. They are evolving their data centre strategy, upgrading equipment and infrastructure, and standardising processes globally to increase service responsiveness. These investments will advance service delivery for years to come so that together we can better meet library users’ increasing expectations.

As part of this initiative, all OCLC WorldShare and WorldCat services globally will be unavailable from 03:00 Sunday 5 June 2016 to 18:00 Sunday 5 June 2016 Central Europe Summer Time (CEST) while data storage migrations are conducted.

Following on from that work will be the transitioning of the hardware and software from the Docklands Data Centre to the new Amsterdam Data Centre that serves libraries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

This will mean that on Saturday 18 June from 19:00 Central Europe Summer Time (CEST) until 07:00 (CEST) Sunday 19 June, the following OCLC services will be unavailable in Europe, the Middle East and Africa:

CONTENTdm, WorldCat Discovery Services, WorldCat Local, WorldCat knowledge base, WorldShare Acquisitions, WorldShare Circulation, WorldShare e-Services, WorldShare ILL, WorldShare License Manager, WorldShare Management Services, WorldShare Analytics, WorldShare Record Manager and WorldShare Collection Manager.

The Hosted EZProxy service will be unaffected by this phase of the migration and will be migrated later.

As always, you can view system activities and schedules on the System Alerts page on the OCLC website. Contact your local customer support team if you have any questions about these upcoming events.

    Thank you for your support.
